Test Post

This is a test post.
Recently I've become more and more dissatisfied with the functionality of the blogger posting interface, particularly with regard to photos. I prefer my posts to contain pictures so I'm sensitive to it and I expect it to work right.
This post is being completed in Google Chrome because it occurred to me that Google is probably only designing their interface to work properly in their own browser. I'm going to give it a try, and if it still doesn't work, then I'll make my complaints known.

Here is a picture or two.

Photo spacing seems to work.

I can add some hard returns and they do what they're supposed to. (In Firefox returns move the pictures to the right, rather than down the page.)

I see that it automatically formatted text to the center between the photos. I don't like it, but I can live with it.

Well, so far things are looking good. In Firefox the uploader hangs about 50% of the time, but it uploaded these two just fine. The next test will be to upload several. Here are a bunch.

Here's a caption.

Here's another caption.

More Words.
Huh. That's interesting. This text is formatted left justified, where above it was formatted center. What's the deal?

Yep. I uploaded all five with no problems. They are placed in here with nice spacing and everything. Now I'm going to try to rearrange them. It won't look any different to the reader.

The rearranging went fine. It definitely works better in Chrome. When I publish, I'll get to see if it puts the photos into a gallery. You know how sometimes you can click on a blog picture and you can see the full size picture? When I make posts in Firefox the interface seems to choose for itself whether the pics will be clickable. I'm hoping all of these work. I'll let you know in the comments.

Thanks for reading!

Well, the gallery didn't come up, but you can see the full size version of all the photos.
Overall, it's still quirky, but it works much better in Chrome than in Firefox.
Now I know. And knowing is half the battle.

Tom--
This was my very favorite stream-of-consciousness post I read this year. Very engineer-y :). -Holly
